Lewis Mackenzie
My fitness and nutrition journey started when I began going to the gym casually in early 2018 and I immediately noticed a dramatic improvement in my energy and my mental health, both which I’ve always struggled with. After my daughter was born late 2018, and like most dads, I stopped training and my diet was very ordinary to say the least, I fully embodied the “dad bod”. This really left me feeling unmotivated and disappointed in myself and many areas of my life.
In 2019 I went overseas on a business trip and after seeing photos of myself from that trip, I knew something needed to change as I felt embarrassed in my own body. I got back into the gym and I was recommended by a close friend to hire a coach.
The invaluable knowledge I learnt from him mostly in terms of diet and nutrition changed everything for me. I very quickly noticed rapid changes in my body, both internal and external and I was loving the journey I had started. As I was saying goodbye oto the dad bod, covid lockdowns kicked in. I was so slumped I couldn’t train in the gym and I lost all motivation to stick to my meal plan as I saw no point. I thought to myself if I can’t train my body I might as well train my mind. I wanted to study something that I found helped me so much to achieve my goals in hope to help others achieve theirs. I very soon after started my Cert IV in Nutrition specializing in Sports Nutrition.
Upon completion of my studies, I started seeing clients privately which very rapidly turned into a business. I absolutely thrive on educating people on proper nutrition and the value of balance. As the saying goes “you can’t outwork a bad diet” and it’s absolutely true.
